It may be a hot time of the year to travel to Uzbekistan but you'll find fewer tourists and quieter sights than during the busy spring and autumn months. You'll also appreciate the wonderful cool air inside all the beautiful blue-tiled buildings of Khiva, Bukhara and Samarkand, and the day at leisure you get in each of those great Silk Road cites.
