Annapurna Sanctuary Trek reviews

An excellent trek

An excellent trek with stunning views, varied scenery and well-paced itinerary, giving extra time at the base camps to enjoy the mountain views and acclimatise to the altitude. The guides were very attentive and looked after us all day, ordering meals and drinks, as well as leading us on the route and informing us about the local customs and terrain.

An amazing and truly memorable experience

Contrary to most other tour operators, this trek starts by following the Modi River up into the Sanctuary. The return branches off at Chomrong to swing west towards Ghorepani and finishes with the ascent of Poon Hill. This allows for better acclimatisation. The whole route is well planned to ensure it is achievable. The supporting team was lovely, always smiling, and nothing too much bother. Altogether an amazing and truly memorable experience.

A truly amazing experience from start to finish

A truly amazing experience from start to finish. The itinerary was well thought out, balancing tougher days with "easier" days afterwards and giving us plenty of time to savour the key base camp destinations. Our guides were first rate and were able to be flexible depending on the group dynamic. Luckily we had a group that gelled together from day one and I have memories that will last a lifetime.

Everything about the trek was amazing.

Everything about the trek was amazing from the flights, hotel in Kathmandu our guides, porters tea houses and the food excellent from start to finish.

Strangers turned friends

A great experience with a lovely group of strangers who quickly became friends. All of us are experienced trekkers and the trail was a bit tougher than we expected, but it was nevertheless very enjoyable and our excellent guides and porters looked after us very well. Food and accommodation was of a consistently high standard.

Excellent itinerary

The itinerary was excellent, with amazing scenery and mountain landscapes. The guides were all very knowledgeable, friendly and supportive.

Experience of a lifetime

This has been an experience that I may never better. From day one I felt at ease with the preparations building up to the trek and I was not let down throughout. The sights that I witnessed were breath-taking and extraordinary and will never be forgotten. The guide offered encouragement during the many climbs, his joy at seeing a sense of achievement, as well giving his insights and knowledge of the area willingly. I implore you to do this trek, you will not be disappointed.

Awesome Annapurna Sanctuary

Everything about this trip was awesome. When we arrived at Annapurna Base Camp it was snowing and the snow continued all day. The next morning dawned cold and clear with the most breathtaking views. Thanks to Mountain Kingdoms for such a well organized trip and to our guide Sun and our porter for such a fantastic job.

A memorable family adventure

Our first trip to Nepal and exceeded all our expectations. A memorable family adventure with stunning scenery, good company and excellent guides and porters. Thoroughly recommend the trek for the mountains, cultural experiences and a challenge.

Loved the changing landscapes

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent Annapurna Sanctuary trip. All the travel arrangements ran smoothly. Our guide was excellent, and knowledgeable about birdlife which was an added bonus. We loved the changing landscapes, from chestnut forest to snowy peaks, and enjoyed passing through the villages, with water buffalo grazing and crops spread out to dry, and meeting other trekkers in the teahouses.
