The culture of the Chin Hills is unique and it felt a real privilege to visit such an extraordinary region. The lovely Kalaw to Inle trek took us through gorgeous rolling countryside, past tea gardens and fields of vegetables and flowers, interspersed with occasional forested ridges.
It was exciting to travel to a region which has so few visitors, and my guides and driver were as thrilled as I was to be seeing this remote part of the kingdom with its wonderful fortresses, temples, beautiful scenery and endless supernatural legends.
Reaching the mountains near Goecha La was deeply moving and spectacular - such fresh evidence of glacial movement and stunning morning scenes. The trekking staff were dependable - courteous, attentive and pleasant and the flights and drives all ran to plan.
This trek was a very well put together, extremely well-guided and I thought that the pre-trip briefing notes were very comprehensive.
It was fantastic - even better than we had imagined. Our Bhutanese guides were brilliant, and made the tour special both in their own ways. I don't know how we can find a holiday which will beat this one!
Very efficient service from the UK office and excellent support from the team in Kathmandu. The Sherpas were well chosen and gave outstanding support on trek. It was always reassuring to know that good support would always be available in the event of any problems.
This is my sixth trip with you. Your service and choice of local agent in Kathmandu would not allow me to choose any of your competitors.
The trek was a real challenge for me, especially as I arrived in Nepal not feeling well. But the whole team - leader, guides, porters and the other participants - encouraged and supported me all the way. It was a truly amazing adventure. Thank you.
A very enjoyable trip, the food was very tasty, the guide was very helpful, and spoke good English which made our encounter all the better.
This holiday takes you off-the-beaten-track to a summit in the Burmese Himalaya, as well as visiting the main sights in Mandalay and Yangon. I did the recce in 2012 and loved it!
