A truly amazing experience. A well- paced itinerary, an excellent guide and driver, who enabled us to get a real feel of the country, its culture, traditions and people.
A relatively gentle but varied and adventurous exposure of this very different and charming country. "Unique" is a much used adjective, but Bhutan really does deserve the description from its flora, fauna, animal, and bird life. But perhaps the most striking difference is in its national outlook and pride - where else does almost everyone wear with pride their national costume everyday, or measure national and individual success in terms of happiness rather than material terms? And the scenery is breath-taking (as is the effect of the many high passes one crosses!)
A well planned adventure in a lovely country. Very high quality transport. I even got to meet the king! Everything seemed to have been thought of.
We had the most unforgettable holiday in Bhutan. Apart from visiting all the cultural sites, we were invited to join local people having a picnic at the Paro Tsechu, listened to the nuns singing their prayers at the Kila Gompa nunnery set high in the mountainside and even tried our hand at archery, their national sport. Our guide was exceptional and all the arrangements for our stay were excellent. We felt very privileged to have been able to visit this beautiful country and it's people.
We enjoyed travelling as a small group.
A most enlightening trip to a mountain kingdom which will remain in my memories as an extremely spiritual and peaceful experience. A great team gave us some very special insight into the harmony of life in Bhutan. The Black-Necked Crane Festival was most interesting.
Being in a small group. Visiting the Haa Valley which seemed to be off the regular tourist circuit. My fellow travellers were delightful. Our local guide Karma and drive Sangay were both excellent and most helpful. I especially enjoyed our visit to the Haa Valley and would recommend that it become a regular feature of trips to Bhutan.
It was an excellent trip... We really enjoyed the contact that he gave us with his family. We really enjoyed the Paro festival and the dzong.
Bhutan is a fascinating country; warm, friendly and undemanding people, magnificent scenery and cultural heritage coupled with a calm and relaxing ambience.
It was fantastic - even better than we had imagined. Our Bhutanese guides were brilliant, and made the tour special both in their own ways. I don't know how we can find a holiday which will beat this one!
