Excellent trek in Sikkim
Just a brief note to thank you for all your support and good advice regarding our treks in Sikkim. The Singalila ridge/Goecha La trek was fantastic. Nice to see blue sheep and mouse hares high up (but no signs of the yeti!). Pemba Sherpa was a superb sirdar - what a great guy and an extraordinary life story. Thank you very much again, we wouldn’t think of using any other company for future trips.
A truly amazing experience
A cruise which heads south enabling you to witness the contrast and change in the Arctic from Spitsbergen to Greenland and finally Iceland. Travelling on a warm and comfortable ship, with excellent and plentiful food, you pass through the dramatic scenery with regular trips off the ship both by zodiac and on foot. There are plenty of lectures to fill your day when you are not on deck looking for whales, dolphins and the numerous sea birds.
Truly amazing!
This trip was a truly inspiring and memorable experience encompassing beautiful scenery, wonderful cuisine and fascinating culture. The warmth and friendliness of the local people together with unforgettable historical sights has left me with long-lasting memories.
Great trek and wonderful extension to India
I valued the certainty that most things would click into place. Everything did and for a solo traveller that was a comfort, thank you. My Indian extension was wonderful! The company which you had engaged to put this in place did a first class job. Every representative found me and my guide for the Taj Mahal Amit Udaphyay was a great companion.
Relaxed holiday - everything arranged perfectly
Nyi Nyi, our guide, was truly exceptional & made the holiday! His English is extremely good, he is humourous, intuitive and made great efforts to tell us all about the history of Burma and its people, about which he is very informed. The itinerary was great too - we seemed to visit most of the Burma highlights and experience everyday life of its people on our travels and hiking.
Three High Passes to Everest
From the beginning of my contact with the Mountain Kingdoms office to my return to the UK I cannot speak highly enough of the service I received. The support arrangements at Kathmandu were also faultless, from being met on arrival at the airport to our departure on the last day. In addition I was extremely impressed by the efficient, courteous and friendly service from all the hotel staff. We finished our trek with a great party with our guides and the unsung heroes, the porters, at out final tea house who laid on a special meal for us. What I enjoyed about travelling with Mountain Kingdoms was the exceptional care that our guides took of us all, both on trek (always felt very safe, despite this being my first trek at high altitude) and when staying at the tea houses. Thanks for a great experience.
Annapurna Foothills trek
What we enjoyed about travelling with Mountain Kingdoms was the quality of organisation/logistics, good-quality lodges, group experience, quality of trek leaders & porters, and happy hour was excellent!
Excellent holiday to Burma
An excellent introductory itinerary to Burma with a standard of accommodation and food higher than we had been anticipating when compared to western standards. Excellent local transport – our coach, boat & train. Particular praise for our outstanding Burmese travel guide. He was superb – his never failing ability to be positive, his behind scenes organisation & attention to detail were noted. Overall an excellent holiday – made such by Nyi Nyi.
Exceeded our expectations
This trip exceeded all expectations. All the plans, the methods of various travel, worked like clockwork. Our guide Nyi Nyi worked tirelessly to make the smallest detail perfect - especially my birthday! He was more than excellent. He never stopped smiling or working tirelessly for us all.
Cultural Highlights of Bhutan and Tibet
We found Bhutan and Tibet interesting and worthwhile with lots of good walking and sightseeing. Our extension to Chitwan was extremely memorable due to the staff, guides and accommodation, the whole of the planned programmes ran to time. We met interesting people in the villages. The guides in Bhutan and Tibet were first class.
