Everest Base Camp Trek reviews

What an amazing opportunity, to see the world's highest peaks in all their glory. Mountain Kingdom organised a brilliant itinerary, with an healthy rate of ascent to acclimatise. The local Sherpa guides and porters were so knowledgeable and helpful, making the whole trip a complete joy.
My once in a lifetime trip to Everest Base Camp was brilliant. It was wonderful to be immersed in the Nepalese culture with such a fun group of like minded people. Our Sherpa Sirdar and his team were so kind and helpful, it was a privilege to spend one night as guests in his home. I had carefully researched which travel company to go with (spreadsheet and list of criteria). Mountain Kingdoms came out a clear winner with their group size, organisation and ethics around carbon offsetting.
Great trek from start to finish. Well looked after by engaging and hardworking guides and porters. Blessed with great weather, always sunny and a bit chilly at night. Achieved our goals and had great fun on the way.
A good challenge with great scenery.
The logistics and organisation from start to finish were second to none, and at no point were we left wondering what was going to happen. People met us, always there on time or early, and transport was excellent. Everyone was friendly and helpful and gave the impression that they were genuinely trying to make our trip a memorable experience. The hotel in Kathmandu was an oasis and the food superb. Our guide, Mani, and his team were equally friendly and helpful.
This trip was exactly as I hoped: breathtaking views, incredible food, and amazing people. The trek itself was great but wouldn't have been as good without the Nepalese guides and people to meet along the way.
The holiday was an amazing experience - everything we hoped for and more. From the moment we first booked our trip to the end of our trek we were incredibly well looked after both by the Mountain Kingdoms staff and by their partners in Nepal. We trekked to Everest Base Camp over the Christmas period so it was very cold, especially at higher altitudes, but we had free hire of a duvet jacket, 4-season sleeping bag and fleece liner to keep us warm and our trek crew made sure we had hot water bottles and lots of tea and dahl to keep us going. The landscape and views were just incredible. Standing at the top of Kala Pattar on Boxing Day, looking across to Everest and all the surrounding Himalayan peaks, was a very special moment.
I really cannot find fault with any aspect of this trip. The entire program was just fantastic, making for a very memorable holiday. I will certainly travel with Mountain Kingdoms again. I enjoyed the whole experience, but in particular: small group size, good acclimatisation program, having all food on trek included so I didn't need to worry about money on trek, good lodges and hotels - much appreciated at end of the trek especially.
I had an amazing trip of a lifetime which was fantastically organised. The routes and free days were superbly balanced which was geared to getting us to almost the top of the world. Mountain Kingdoms' route scored head and shoulders above its competitors, we loved going to Thame and Khunde. Nima, our guide, was superb; patient and very attentive.
Well organised, no additional costs like we observed with some trekking companies. The fact the whole holiday was over 20 days rather than 18 days, as advertised by other trekking companies I am sure was beneficial in the whole party not suffering altitude sickness or exhaustion.
