I really enjoyed this centre-based holiday as I knew each day I could stretch my legs with a great walk to take in the fantastic scenery, but then return to comfortable accommodation afterwards. The Old Vicarage was beautiful and the food filling and delicious.
I would highly recommend a Srinigar houseboat stay to anyone - the boats are floating works of art with exquisite wood carving throughout the interior.
This trek is one of India's hidden gems...
ItÕs difficult to find praise high enough for the Ausangate lodge trek. The scenery is incredibly varied and stunning.
This was an excellent tour - friendly participants, very good guide and excellent value for money. What more could one ask for!
The pre-departure info was excellent and thorough. The local trek crew were fantastic - I can't praise them enough. MK obviously has respect for the local people it uses and the countries it operates in.
The culture of the Chin Hills is unique and it felt a real privilege to visit such an extraordinary region. The lovely Kalaw to Inle trek took us through gorgeous rolling countryside, past tea gardens and fields of vegetables and flowers, interspersed with occasional forested ridges.
It was exciting to travel to a region which has so few visitors, and my guides and driver were as thrilled as I was to be seeing this remote part of the kingdom with its wonderful fortresses, temples, beautiful scenery and endless supernatural legends.
Reaching the mountains near Goecha La was deeply moving and spectacular - such fresh evidence of glacial movement and stunning morning scenes. The trekking staff were dependable - courteous, attentive and pleasant and the flights and drives all ran to plan.
This trek was a very well put together, extremely well-guided and I thought that the pre-trip briefing notes were very comprehensive.
