The Annapurna Circuit was beautiful. Highly recommended for the incomparable, stunning scenery of the Annapurna Region. If you're up for a more rigorous trek, I'd recommend a less traveled area (Nar-Phu) because of increasing roads and crowds. This is an overall great introduction to Nepalese culture and beauty.
This was a delightfully relaxing combination of a fairly easy trek taking in superb coastal scenery and the fascinating sights of Marrakech and Essaouira. Just the right balance of seaside and souks!
What a fantastic trip! Just the right blend of historical sights and walking in spectacular scenery. It went way beyond all my expectations.
A fabulous holiday - about 4-5 hours of walking each day (each day is different) with beautiful scenery and walking through remote villages. Every afternoon there is some down time, so a good time to relax and detox! Everyone is very welcoming and service is amazing.
WOW! WOW! WOW! Had an absolutely fabulous time trekking the Annapurna Foothills... everything was so well organised and our guides and porters all did a fabulous job. The scenery was outstanding and as a keen photographer I had a field day! Thank you Mountain Kingdoms, I will be back!
The trip is tough mentally and physically. Expect some tough days and washing your armpits in a dog bowl. However, Nepal is amazing and the whole trip was too much to absorb! I highly recommend the trip
It was very good to have the mix of sightseeing and trekking. Walking in the beautiful countryside was a nice counterbalance to the temples and Dzongs, and gave an insight to everyday rural life. Seeing the Black Necked Crane Festival was one of the highlights, as was the trek to the Tiger Nest Monastery. Staying in a homestay was interesting - definitely worthwhile and an opportunity to have a Hot Stone Bath. It's a wonderful country - lovely people, stunning countryside - but be prepared to come home tired. To make the most of the time there, you inevitably have to move from hotel to hotel and there's not much down time.
This trip was exactly as I hoped: breathtaking views, incredible food, and amazing people. The trek itself was great but wouldn't have been as good without the Nepalese guides and people to meet along the way.
This is a fantastic trip with time spent refreshing skills on the Trift Glacier, an ascent of two 4000m mountains which are superb climbing objectives in their own right. The Saas Grund Valley is the perfect place to acclimatise for Monte Rosa as both the routes and the huts are quieter than around Chamonix/Mont Blanc area and therefore you have a much more relaxing and enjoyable experience. The Monte Rosa hut is a new building (2009) and provides great food and accommodation. Monte Rosa is a wonderful mountain to climb, with great views, not too technically challenging but extremely rewarding. Kevin O'Neale is a highly experienced IFMGA guide with many years of alpine guiding under his belt, so you are in a very safe pair of hands
Exceptional trip. Really well organised, fantastic scenery, wildlife and flora. Excellent tour guides. Stunning walks.
