A trip of adventures and extremes in northern Vietnam!
A holiday of adventures and extremes - from the first adventure of the overnight train to the hills; the comparison of the varied ethnic minorities’ lifestyles; the contrast between the luxury (and peace and quiet) at Topas Ecolodge and on the Ha Long Bay cruise; the privilege of being a part of the remote home-stay family’s basic way of life; the delights of glimpsing Hanoi’s French colonial architecture; and the enjoyment of delicious Vietnamese cuisine. Congratulations, another great Mountain Kingdoms trip.
Enjoyable trek in Burma
Overall a most enjoyable, exciting, different trek - loved Burma & its culture. Fantastic organisation - everything went to plan. We were always met by super people who made us feel welcome. Transport very good at all times. Hotels were excellent.
Excellent service
The staff in the Mountain Kingdoms office are always very helpful and approachable. Having travelled with Mountain Kingdoms a number of times in the past, I was confident that the advice and itinerary would be good. The local agents were very thorough and attentive and made sure that we were always well looked after.
Annapurna Base Camp trek
We had a tremendously enjoyable holiday and your hard work on the pre-trip extension paid off very well indeed. The trekking was great. The group gelled really well and the local sirdar and his team were brilliant. Dwarika’s Hotel was superb, and wonderful mountain scenery.
Magical holiday to Bhutan
Bhutan is a magical experience - it surpassed our expectations. Excellent organisation. Superb attention to detail. This is the third time I have travelled with Mountain Kingdoms and every time the trips have been excellent. Mountain Kingdoms are our first choice of company for this type of trip.
Gentle Walking Bhutan
Because the tour was so rich and varied I, for one, did not feel I had missed out on anything essential. I very much enjoyed the wonderful places we visited, the excellent local guide and drivers, the lovely people we met and the excellent company of the other participants.

Well-chosen accommodation
The itinerary was well put together, a good mix of sightseeing and walking in non-touristy rural areas. The lodges were well-chosen - I love especially the locations of Himalaya Height Resort and 3 Mountain Lodge - fabulous views! Our trip leader was wonderful, and the staff at the lodges were delightful.
Excellent trek leader
The other guys on the trek were very good company as was our trek leader Cshiring Sherpa who was most attentive to us. He was always cheerful, helpful and informative and appeared to have the respect of the cooks and porters. The local people were friendly and interested in us and sometimes enjoyed testing their limited English.
