Good arrangements. Excellent hotel in Kathmandu. Instructions were clear and concise and met expectations. Enjoyed having a small group on trek, well supported by leader and assistant throughout. Summit Lodges were comfortable and gave good recovery from daily trek.
This was the first experience of this kind for us so we were a little uncertain as to what the trek might be like. Our expectations were exceeded. The MK guide and his team took very good care of us. Travelling in an unknown country, we loved having the details arranged for us: travel, accommodation, flights, routing, meals. Our support team were exceptional.
I am a very independent, solo backpacker, so to do a tour was a new experience that I thought would be cramping my independence. All I can say is that it was 'a blast' - great staff, loads of laughs, able to change itinerary if we wanted - everything was 100% amazing.
Bhutan was a wonderful country to visit - we felt privileged to be able to visit - beautiful scenery, friendly people, colourful surroundings. We felt the route, accommodation and staff were carefully selected by Mountain Kingdoms, who also managed our travel arrangements and expectations very well.
The choice of route and places visited and the organisation of the holiday was faultless. Bhutan lived up to expectations and beyond.
This was an excellent holiday. All in all it is difficult to see how you could improve on this holiday.
The quality of the leader and assistant leaders on this trip greatly enhanced our enjoyment. They were all well informed as well as concerned for our welfare, working very well together. The trip provided ALL we expected including wonderful views of the Himalayas!
Everything was very well organised - all the pre-trip details; all transfers and briefings; the hotels in Kathmandu and Pokhara; and the whole trekking trip. The guide, Dawa, was good fun and enthusiastic and together with the superb tireless porters made for a wonderful holiday. All the 'extras' - morning tea, washing water, mid-morning tea, snacks, 4pm tea, biscuits, etc. - were things no other groups we met experienced. A huge 'thank you' to you all.
Very organised tour, all local staff and hotel staff very friendly, MK office staff friendly and knowledgeable.
This was a wonderful trip - very well organised and expertly run. The route to Bumthang was inspired - giving us a bit of extra challenge, hot springs and something a bit different to boast about.
Mountain Kingdoms' comment: Please note - this review was given on return from our Complete Lunana Snowman Trek itinerary. From 2018 we take a spectacular new route out of Lunana.
