Highly recommend
I had a lovely time... Best travel company I have ever used...Great customer service, good itinerary, well chosen hotels, good leader and driver. Felt like things had really been thought through. Maximum group number of 12 is good too - we had 9 on our trip and it was a good number. I would highly recommend Mountain Kingdoms - I've travelled with a number of adventure tour operators and you are by far the best on a number of counts - customer service, quality of trip, value for money etc.
Great trekking team
The trekking team were absolutely great, the food on the trek was very good, varied and the team were really helpful in every respect, with Pemba taking great care to manage expectations. Overall we enjoyed the walking and the mountain experience as we are well used to winter walking conditions.
Everest Base Camp
I really cannot find fault with any aspect of this trip. The entire program was just fantastic, making for a very memorable holiday. I will certainly travel with Mountain Kingdoms again. I enjoyed the whole experience, but in particular: small group size, good acclimatisation program, having all food on trek included so I didn't need to worry about money on trek, good lodges and hotels - much appreciated at end of the trek especially.
Simply wonderful
The trip to EBC was simply wonderful. We were in very good hands with our guide Jigme. He did everything thinkable to make this trip the experience of a lifetime. Staying in the lodges certainly makes a difference at the end of a trekking day and is well worth paying a little extra. I would recommend it to everyone who comes to visit the Khumbu region.
Off-the-beaten-track Bhutan
For me, cycling is a fantastic way to see the country, get off the beaten track and have the opportunity to interact with some of the people that you meet on the way. The other tourists are welcome to their air conditioned vehicles - I will keep on pedalling!
Lived up to expectations
...the walk to TigerÕs Nest Monastery on our return to Paro was another highlight. It is the iconic sight of Bhutan for me and it lived up to expectations.
Well-organised
We very much enjoyed the whole Mountain Kingdoms experience and thought it was extremely well organised and an amazing opportunity.

Great support crew
We very much enjoyed the whole Mountain Kingdoms experience and thought it was extremely well organised and an amazing opportunity. Meeting the lovely Burmese people, both in the isolated mountain villages and in smaller towns and cities was so interesting, they are unfailingly polite, gentle, smiling and interested in visitors which is very refreshingÉ The standard of food, restaurants and hotels in both countries was fantastic: our team of 16 porters and cooks on the 6 day trek were very attentive and supportive and we always felt safe at all times.
Remote and untouched
A small friendly group, excellent support, a very remote location untouched by western civilisation, very well planned route, the right balance between adventure and comfort. The guide from Mandalay onwards was particularly interesting, very articulate, happy to talk to us and take us round off the beaten track, e.g. on a ship in Yangon.
