Hidden Valleys of Bhutan

Unforgettable experience

It was very good to have the mix of sightseeing and trekking. Walking in the beautiful countryside was a nice counterbalance to the temples and Dzongs, and gave an insight to everyday rural life. Seeing the Black Necked Crane Festival was one of the highlights, as was the trek to the Tiger Nest Monastery. Staying in a homestay was interesting - definitely worthwhile and an opportunity to have a Hot Stone Bath. It's a wonderful country - lovely people, stunning countryside - but be prepared to come home tired. To make the most of the time there, you inevitably have to move from hotel to hotel and there's not much down time.

Everest Base Camp Trek

Everest Base Camp Trek

This trip was exactly as I hoped: breathtaking views, incredible food, and amazing people. The trek itself was great but wouldn't have been as good without the Nepalese guides and people to meet along the way.

A fantastic trip

This is a fantastic trip with time spent refreshing skills on the Trift Glacier, an ascent of two 4000m mountains which are superb climbing objectives in their own right. The Saas Grund Valley is the perfect place to acclimatise for Monte Rosa as both the routes and the huts are quieter than around Chamonix/Mont Blanc area and therefore you have a much more relaxing and enjoyable experience. The Monte Rosa hut is a new building (2009) and provides great food and accommodation. Monte Rosa is a wonderful mountain to climb, with great views, not too technically challenging but extremely rewarding. Kevin O'Neale is a highly experienced IFMGA guide with many years of alpine guiding under his belt, so you are in a very safe pair of hands

Complete Patagonia - Paine & Fitz Roy

Patagonia from all sides.

Exceptional trip. Really well organised, fantastic scenery, wildlife and flora. Excellent tour guides. Stunning walks.

Three High Passes to Everest

Three High Passes - trek of a lifetime!

This was a superb walking holiday in what must be some of the grandest scenery in the world. It was great to experience the wider range of scenery and views on the Three High Passes trek (compared to the basic Everest Base Camp route), and also to venture into valleys and over passes with many fewer people than the main EBC route. The views from the Renjo La, and Kongma La especially were absolutely stunning. I think MK's choice to do the trek in the clockwise direction was a good decision, and the acclimatisation schedule certainly worked fairly well for me, with no more than occasional minor headaches. The small group (6 clients, 2 sherpa guides and 3 porters) was a good size, we bonded well and the sherpa guides were very attentive and responsive to our needs. Visiting the Everest region has always been high on my wish list, and this trek more than lived up to expectations. A trip I will remember for ever, for all the right reasons! Thank you MK and the local team in Nepal!

Three High Passes to Everest

Three High Passes, Kathmandu and Chitwan.

I returned safely from my trip to Nepal early on Friday morning. I want to thank Mountain Kingdoms for organizing such a fantastic trip. It was a truly wonderful experience and has left so many memories that will last a lifetime. The mountains around the Three High passes and Everest were truly majestic and striking in their size and magnitude. The trip to Chitwan was a wonderful contrast and provided the opportunity to view a lot of exciting wildlife and many wild birds. Throughout I felt that you had chosen local partners of the highest quality and felt so well looked after and catered for. Our Sherpa guides and porters, lead by Pasang Temba Sherpa, were outstanding; professional, informative and made the group feel so welcome in their country. The local agents in Kathmandu were also excellent. Punctual for every meeting point and so helpful in negotiating the busy streets of Kathmandu and, slightly confusing at times, airport check ins. In Chitwan the staff at the Eco Lodge Resort were outstanding also. Very friendly and some excellent and very knowledgeable wildlife guides. Nothing was too much trouble for them. This was an at times challenging but always extremely rewarding trip; much of this due to the organisation and partnerships that you had arranged. Once again many thanks. I would have no hesitation in using your services again for possible future trips of the same nature. Best wishes Mr Robert Jackson

Quite Exceptional

My most memorable trip. Brilliant guides and porters. Fantastic country and views. A tough trek with early starts and plenty of hard walking, but absolutely fantastic.... a must do trip for anyone interested in trekking.

Hidden Valleys of Bhutan

Hidden Valleys of Bhutan

An excellent holiday full of variety and new experiences.

Excellent Trekking Experience

An excellent trekking experience and one of the best trips we have undertaken. The remote, wild and unspoiled mountain environment gave the trip an exploration feel to it. It was tough at times but all the better for being so. Organisation and last minute changes were handled efficiently by the local agents under the guidance of the Trip Leader Raj. I would recommend the trip to anyone wanting a challenging mountain trek.

Annapurna & Everest in Style

Annapurna and Everest in style

A good introduction to the Annapurna and Everest regions of Nepal. Trek was well organised and well paced, led by helpful and knowledgeable staff in both regions.

Manaslu Circuit Trek, Nepal

A brilliant trek

This was the first trek I have done and it was brilliant. A superb route, great and varied views and scenery, from valleys up to high mountain passes. It was well organised and run with a great leader and team of sherpas.

Luxury Lodges to Machu Picchu

Trekking in comfort

Spending time in the Sacred Valley, seeing the sites and acclimatising to the altitude was a great way to start our holiday. The Salkantay trek itself was everything we'd hoped it would be, with fabulous scenery, trails that challenged us and provided a feeling of achievement, luxurious lodges with food to match and good weather! Machu Picchu lived up to our expectations and was a perfect end to the trip.

Everest Base Camp in Style

Base Camp in Some Style!

A real life affirming experience. It was a trip I had always dreamed of making. The trip from start to finish was everything I had hoped it would be. The attention to detail in the planning and the top notch guide made sure our group of 10 with an average age of 55 bonded really well and we all made our objective. The itinerary and the knowledge of our guide delivered a wonderful insight into the history of the Khumbu valley and the culture of the Sherpa People. For anyone else like me who has always dreamed of doing this- do it- you will not be disappointed!

Definitive Cultural Tour of Nepal

Defintive Cutural Tour of Nepal

This trip is perfect for the opportunity to see some of the sensational landscapes and cultural treasures of Nepal without the need for discomfort. Historic towns, picturesque villages, traditional rural life and exotic wildlife were just some of the attractions of this lovely trip and it was all enjoyed from the comfort of some wonderfully comfortable hotels. The warmth and friendliness of the local people was just the cherry on the cake. It was an inspiring journey at the same time as being a very relaxing experience.

Cordillera Real Traverse, Bolivia

Royal range

Spectacular mountains, which are virtually deserted. Be prepared for days with no tracks, but superb views. A must are four season bag, good puffa jacket.... when sun goes down the temperature plummets. Very knowledgeable guide and excellent cook. If you love the mountains and deserted walking it’s a must.

Annapurna & Everest in Style

Experience of a lifetime

We have wanted to visit Nepal for many years. Visiting two areas on the one trip was a real bonus. We were so glad we visited Annapurna area first as it helps with acclimatization as well as being so different to Everest area. The standard of lodges was good. The support staff and leaders were keen to ensure we enjoyed our visit to Nepal. We got the feeling of being very welcome. The mountain views and scenery exceeded our expectations as did the trip as a whole. Just a brilliant experience.

True wilderness

The Dagana wilderness trek is not for the faint hearted but it was truly amazing. The scenery was breathtaking and varied. We climbed through forests and over remote mountain passes. We saw bears and so many different birds. The team who accompanied us couldn’t have been more lovely. Truly a trip of a lifetime
