Incomparable scenery
The scenery and natural environment in general on Lofoten is almost incomparable in its beauty and peacefulness. The lodge we stayed in is ideal, allowing flexibility and great comfort. All the food provided was excellent.
A hidden gem
Just a big thank you to Mountain Kingdoms for organising our holiday which was absolutely fabulous.ÊThe islands are a hidden gem, on the last day the wall to wall sunshine made it feel like a mix of the Alps and the AegeanÉbut without lots of people, just sun, sea, snow-capped mountains and a view to die forÉ.what more could you want?Ê
More than lived up to expectations
I have fond memories of rock climbing in the Verdon Gorge when I was in my 20Õs. I remember belaying my climbing partner perched on a tiny ledge and looking down into the gorge below thinking Òmy God that looks nice down there, I must come back and walk through it one day.Ó It took 40 years to cure that small itch and I can tell you the trek more than lived up to expectationsÓ. Do it, because it really is fantastic.
Incredible views
The views were incredible and well worth the hike to the summits. Each summit being totally different and getting higher across the week, I felt a wonderful sense of achievement each time.
Pleasant walks
The walks were always very pleasant with ever varying scenery, taking us through picturesque villages, meadows carpeted with wild flowers, gorges with soaring limestone cliffs, and beech and fir forests. The history of the Cathars was fascinating and we got to explore many imposing castles including Peyrepertuse castle, which was the most impressive.
Welcoming culture
Vietnam has jumped to the top of my list of favourite destinations within Southeast Asia. The Vietnamese are warm and welcoming, the landscapes are stunning, and the walking is culturally diverse. I cannot wait to return to this incredible country.
Wonderful
A wonderful week of coastal walking, helped by great weather, good wine and rather a lot of ice cream! Real highlights for me were the guided walk on Capri, and exploring Naples - what an incredible, underrated city. Definitely a taste of La Dolce Vita.
Fascinating
I found Cappadocia truly fascinating. The landscape is so rich and diverse that at every turn I was greeted with a glorious view. A particular highlight was the walk up Bozdag Plateau, the uninterrupted views were amazing. The cave dwellings and churches from the Byzantine period were really impressive, as were the majestic fairy chimneys.
Exceptional service from Mountain Kingdoms
We have confidence in Mountain Kingdoms & feel in safe hands for planning the trip and in all our 7 holidays with you we have had very good service & know that the trek leader is very experienced & is able to cope with any situation that arises.
Enjoyable and adventurous
Thank you for an enjoyable and adventurous trip. The range of sightseeing, walking, Indian culture and general immersion in all the different parks and canyons was very enjoyable and informative.
Pleasant walks & lovely climate
What I love about this trip is the variety. ItÕs a lovely mix of coastal walks, exploring the Lycian ruins, and relaxation on a boat around Kekova Island. The climate is pleasant, the food plentiful, and the people very welcoming. ItÕs shown me that the Turquoise Coast is much more than just a package holiday destination.
We loved it!
Thank you for organising our trip of a lifetime to Nepal - we loved it!
Blown away
I was blown away by the beauty and variety of the Atacama Desert, its canyons, wildlife and plants. It really was not what I expected when I thought 'desert'. This trip explores many hidden gems together with an easy ascent of a 5,600m volcano with fabulous views.
Excellent leader
Excellent guide who explained everything. Organised meals etc. very well.

Kingdom of Bhutan - a very special place
This was a comprehensive introduction to the very special kingdom of Bhutan. The scenery was fabulous, the people delightful and the entire programme well-packed, well-paced and well-executed by efficient and hard-working staff. Punakha tsechu was great but I also enjoyed all the gompas and especially the really ancient temples. A very special snap-shot in time, long may it last.
Memorable, fantastic experience
Climbing Kilimanjaro was a fantastic experience, the guides were supportive, friendly and organised everything perfectly. Summiting Kilimanjaro is a memory that I and my fellow trekkers will cherish for a long time to come.
Well organised
Well organised tour. Friendly staff in office when discussing details of holiday, always get information as promised.
Value for money
As with all previous trips, an excellent holiday. Well thought out and in my opinion, excellent value for money for what was provided. Also very welcome is the opportunity to get beyond the usual tourist sites, and the chance to get to know a country.
