Reputable - Cambodia trek
Small groups of like-minded people. Excellent rapport with office staff in UK, feels personal. Very good balance between adventure and culture. Good variety in activities and accommodation. Concern for the environment, respect for the country. I don't feel like a tourist, more like a visitor.
Good itinerary - Indochina
Varied trip through many different places. Interesting itinerary. Very well planned, all guides were excellent and gave personal insight into the country's history. Small group travel great. Good hotels.
Indochina - very enjoyable
My first holiday with Mountain Kingdoms - really enjoyed it. Very impressed with choice of hotels, efficiency of guide and drivers, and so much included in price. Hope to use Mountain Kingdoms again!
Supportive crew
This was an opportunity to visit a remote area guided by locals who were happy to share their pride in their customs and way of life, which would not have been possible without their local knowledge. The porters were a cohesive group who improved everyone's spirits, especially with their singing. The food was excellent even in the most difficult conditions and something we all looked forward to.
Friendly locals
The trekking is relatively easy going and takes us through many small villages in the mid-hills of Nepal. As a consequence we gain a far greater insight into regular village life largely untouched by tourism and get to see how the majority of Nepali's live. Off-the-beaten-path, incredible landscapes, plenty of interaction with friendly locals, and lovely lodges. This is for anyone who wants to get under the skin of Nepal in a degree of comfort with a good balance of exploring on foot with time to relax and savour the surroundings.
A trip to remember
This tour gave a great insight into Vietnam, with beautiful food, culture and scenery it was a trip to remember. Ha Long Bay was a definite highlight for me, the crew were fantastic and always helpful. I was able to immerse myself in the peacefulness of Trang An and explore the treasures of Hanoi.
Rich and diverse itinerary
I am just back from yet another superb trip with MK. We had a fabulous time. The itinerary was rich and diverse providing us with a very broad experience of a large amount of the country without feeling rushed or pressurisedÉ A great trip all round.
Attention to detail was excellent
Prior to the trek the MK staff in the UK were always most helpful. The attention to detail was excellent. As a solo traveller I was confident that there would be nothing to worry about. The trek was well planned and well graded. Hotels well chosen and comfortable.
Annapurna Sanctuary - magnificent
Annapurna Sanctuary is a fantastic trek with memorably magnificent scenery.
Ama Dablam Base Camp
This was an excellent and well thought out itinerary. We particularly enjoyed the variety of walking and experiences gained. The scenery on the trek was both spectacular and varied. We were introduced into Nepalese culture, met with Nepalese families and shared an understanding of their religious beliefs. The kindness of the people we met will stay with us.
Finest mountain views
We had a view of the whole length of the Zemu Glacier which is one of the finest mountain views I have ever seen. Once again I run out of superlatives in describing the crew. Everyone of the 17 man crew were excellent.
Gem of a trek
This is a real gem of a trek.
Lingshi Laya Trek - Fascinating culture
Terrific location / fantastic scenery / fascinating culture particularly in Laya. Overall trip logistics in Bhutan were excellent. Group size of 10 was perfect.
Cycling Tour Bhutan - Awe-inspiring views
A fantastic combination of cycling through remote valleys and up high passes - to enjoy awe inspiring views of the distant Himalayan mountains.
Cycling Tour Bhutan - wonderful experience
Travelling by bicycle in Bhutan was a wonderful experience: the exhilaration of navigating through major road works, to being able to visit Gasa and have a homestay with the Governor of Gasa Province, to the trip to Ugyen Choling.
Trip of a lifetime
I just wanted to say a big thank you for our Bhutan adventure. Truly a trip of a lifetime for all of us. I have really enjoyed looking at the photos and recounting all the tails to friends and family...All have been stunned by the scenery and the beauty of Bhutan.
Trouble-free
What I liked about travelling with Mountain Kingdoms was that their client wellbeing is paramount, their long standing relationship with their local agents ensured a totally trouble free trip and the quality of hotels outside the trek. Thank you all for making the Gangkar Punsum trip such a memorably fantastic one. May our next adventures be so fortunate.
Splendid trip
...So may I say now that we were very well supported by Karma Tenzin, Lotay and their team (Dorji, Phub Tshering and Dophu) and, indeed, the horsemen from Dur. Cooperation throughout the trek was exemplary and created a very happy spirit for all concerned. The meals were terrific and Lotay's skill is remarkable, ensuring that supplies were used steadily throughout the trek and most supplies lasted to the final day... The whole experience seems to be 'thought through'; timings, logistics, acclimatisation, supplies, staffing all fit; most comforting. Best wishes and thanks for a splendid trip.
True wilderness experience
I loved the remoteness of this trip; it felt like a true wilderness experience, and following in a snow leopard's snowy footsteps up to the Ghami La pass was exceptionally memorable.
Lovely guesthouses
I loved staying in traditional guesthouses along the way, their home grown food was delicious.
