Chorten Path Trek
The trek leader was extremely generous of himself with a great knowledge of his country - the land and its politics and religion. He and all the staff on the trek were very well organised, the cook was fantastic and the food was delicious.
Magnificent mountains
Everything was so well organised that we were able to relax and enjoy the magnificent mountains and the Nepalese countryside, only having to focus on the physical exertion of the trek, knowing that food, water, accommodation etc. was all under control. The guides and porters did their jobs superbly.
Masses of variety
Mountains Kingdoms has hit the jackpot again! A terrific trip, masses of variety of scenery and activities, excellent organisation, great accommodation and meals, superb driver/guide. Many thanks for everything.
Personal service
Well organised, excellent information, personal service. The two holidays I have been on with MK have been most enjoyable and informative.
Well organised
The sights and general ambience of the country walks and climbs were excellent and well organised.
Incredible country
Bhutan and Druk path trek was fantastic. Bhutan is an incredible country and so lucky to have visited/experienced it before it changes. Once again many thanks for everything. We will be returning to Mountain Kingdoms for another adventure, perhaps South America, so much to choose from.
Reputable - Everest trek
The confidence that comes from knowing that MK has lots of knowledge and local expertise. At all stages we felt we were getting 'VIP' treatment!
Superb
Lodges were superb: staff, food, everything. The trip was well organised, the lodges were superb, all staff were fantastic.
Well organised
Well organised, no additional costs like we observed with some trekking companies. The fact the whole holiday was over 20 days rather than 18 days, as advertised by other trekking companies I am sure was beneficial in the whole party not suffering altitude sickness or exhaustion.
Wonderful walks
The trek was a really enjoyable experience. The walks were wonderfully varied and gave insight into village life and rural landscapes normally overlooked by higher altitude treks. The sometimes quirky, sometimes luxurious hotels added to the experience. The overall package involving drives to interesting areas, visits to temples, the hotels and the lovely walks was outstanding.
Scenery was superb
The scenery was superb, and the pace of the trek was well managed. The friendly response to queries beforehand by MK staff was also excellent.
Luxury Lodges of Everest - Magical scenery
This was a fantastic holiday! The route was just right- challenging but do-able and magical scenery every day. Pace and acclimatisation were both very well judged by our trek leader, who could not have done more to ensure that we had the best possible experience. Absolutely no complaints - more holidays of this type please.
Most fantastic experience
This was the most fantastic experience and credit goes to Mountain Kingdoms for their care in arranging such a well thought out itinerary and using knowledgeable, well trained local staff. The hotel Dwarika's was fantastic.
Mera Peak - great service
As this was my 5th trek with MK, it is the service you provide from beginning to end, from the brochure through to the assistance given with any queries one may have.
Fell in love with the country
I fell in love with the country and its people and I'm planning to go back in a couple of years' time. What made the trek really special was having local guides. I saw other companies who used European guides and I'm so glad we had local ones. Nima and Bir in particular were outstanding in terms of their hospitality and kindness, and I couldn't recommend them highly enough.
Chorten Path - great experience
I have trekked with you since 1990. I know it is always going to be well organised and a great experience.
Perfect!
It was a 'perfect' trek in all aspects. The staff were excellent and demonstrated great adaptability to all situations.
Ideal group size
What I appreciate most about Mountain Kingdoms is the small numbers. It means smaller, more characterful hotels, better and quicker transport and eating in a small party is so much more pleasant.
Evocative
The route was very well planned and I particularly appreciated the train journey from Samarkand to Tashkent. This was very evocative of the silk route going across the huge expanse of deserted steppe and seeing the small isolated villages.
Remote, challenging & fun
Fabulous remote countryside, friendly staff and local people, a good balance between challenge and fun.
