A varied tour of Nepal
Visited really lovely varied, interesting locations. Very well organised.
Wonderful tour of Bhutan
A wonderful holiday discovering the remarkable features of Bhutan: scenery, architecture, national dress and Buddhist customs and traditions. The Bhutanese are friendly and gentle people who added a lot to our overall experience. We enjoyed expert and knowledgeable guiding both from local guide, Tshering and from Michael Rutland whose experiences of Bhutan over 50 years are unique. We were privileged to be invited to his home for a special evening watching the film "A Yak in the Classroom".
Spectacular Manaslu
Spectacular and diverse scenery, fascinating Tibetan culture, superbly led. And great food throughout!
Fabulous Manaslu trek
Fabulous trek with the most stunning views, interesting unspoilt Nepalese villages, friendly group of people. Informative guides, huge diversity of landscapes, flora & fauna.
Wonderful trek in Atlas mountains
For various, unpredictable reasons I ended up going on this trek alone. However, I still had an excellent, English speaking guide, a wonderful cook, 2 muleteers and 2 mules all looking after me! I was very well looked after and had a great time. The food was fantastic, especially considering the basic cooking arrangements. The terrain is very dry and arid but the scenery is quite striking and the night sky is wonderful. Don't expect anything other than very basic (squat toilet) or non-existent toilet facilities and you do have to be careful with water hygiene. I had no problems and I was provided with hot water and liquid soap at every meal time and filtered all my drinking water. All in all a great trek that was very well organised and enjoyable.

Fantastic Hidden Valleys of Bhutan
A fantastic way to explore Bhutan. We got a real insight into Bhutanese life by staying in the homesteads and attending the local festival.
Beautiful Eastern Bhutan
Nice to be back in Bhutan, this time gently discovering beautiful east. Amazing nature, slow-paced life, tradition, nice food. With the favourable weather that we had, just a perfect holiday.
Rajasthan mix
We really liked the mix of culture and nature and to see the life of people in the villages.
Good balance of walking and touring in Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan is truly remarkable. The architecture of the Silk Road cities is uniquely spellbinding and the opportunity to see the landscape of mountains, steppe and desert make for a memorable trip. The balance between walking in the mountains and cultural tours really makes it, giving you the chance to recharge and refresh between cities.
Annapurna memories to last a lifetime
The trekking holiday was everything I'd hoped for! Breathtaking and varied scenery along the route. Each lodge provided a beautiful setting to relax and unwind after each days walk. Every lodge provided exceptional hospitality and service. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was beautifully prepared and served with care. Our guide NG (Namgel) was humorous and knowledgeable. Our porters Surmago, Albie and Antim were friendly and supportive. Memories to last a lifetime. Thank you.
Amazing journey through northern India
We loved visiting the Golden Temple in the evening which was amazing, as was the scenery and the people we met on our journey through Northern India. Also wonderful to visit at last the beautiful and historical Shimla.
Golden Temple highlight
Amritsar and the Golden Temple was the highlight of the trip followed by the daily India/Pakistan border ceremony.
Brahmaputra cruise and Bhutan tour - well worth experiencing.
A wonderful holiday full of happy memories of lovely people and cuisines. Cultural tour in Bhutan provided a good insight into the life of the lovely and very kind people. On the cruise, I experienced magical moments, local customs, costumes, cuisines and yoga and ever smiling crew The shore excursions and safari provided good insight into everyday life. All very relaxing and well worth experiencing.
Highly recommended holiday
An excellent holiday. Well organised from beginning to end by Mountain Kingdoms. Nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend.
Nepal & Bhutan - loved it all!
I have to say that I loved every minute of this tour. Nepal and Bhutan were so different to anywhere I have ever been. The Stupas and Monasteries and Dzongs were fascinating. I loved the Monkey Temple in Nepal and we also did a walk to the biggest cave in Nepal. Loved that. The Tigers Nest hike was the highlight for me. Seeing Everest and the Himalayas from the plane was also brilliant! The Guides in both Nepal and Bhutan were excellent as was the accommodation. Loved it all!
Excellent mix of trekking and culture in Bhutan
An excellent trip - only 2 clients so the guide was able to take us round a number of places in Thimphu and Paro which wouldnt have been possible with a big group. We were fortunate to see some of the mountain festivals at both Jhomolhari and Laya while we were on the trek. A great mixture of altitude trekking and also an opportunity to learn much more about the country and the people.
Off-the-beaten-track trek in Nepal
Overall, this was an enjoyable off-the-beaten track trek through countryside untouched by tourism with some pleasant rural and forest scenery. We didn't encounter any other trekkers. Unfortunately, apart from a couple of brief early morning glimpses of distant mountains and fragments between breaks in the clouds, we were denied the spectacular high mountain scenery we had been hoping for.
Immersive Japan
Things we loved: getting immersed in Japanese Culture; Japanese people are so polite and friendly; trying Japanese food; and travelling in a group of six with good camaraderie.
Unstressful walking in Japan
Having spent the previous two weeks mountain trekking in the Japan Alps without a guide we were looking to this "gentle trekking" trip with a guide to introduce us - with explanations - to some of the key cultural aspects and sites of Japan through the medium of unstressful walking. I think the trip met our aims for it.
