Mountain Lodges of Peru

These four lodges run by Mountain Lodges of Peru offer a superb alternative trek to the busy Inca Trail but with equally stunning scenery and cultural interest. The lodges are set in beautiful surroundings in the Cordillera Vilcabamba mountain range dominated by the soaring snow-capped peak of Salkantay. Each of the locally staffed lodges has cosy en suite rooms, wood burning stoves and comfortable seating in the communal areas. There's even an outdoor jacuzzi. Given their remote locations, the service and levels of comfort in the lodges are of a remarkably high standard as is the cuisine with wine, beer and cocktails readily available. From our experience, there's nothing more memorable than sipping a perfectly mixed pisco sour whilst sitting in a hot jacuzzi overlooking the stunning mountain scenery. Just heavenly!
